I got bamboozled, when I first made contact with Pegasus Vanlines, everything went well, the customer service was great, and I was told everything that I wanted to hear. I was told it was going to take two weeks to get my items delivered, no problem, I was told I only had to pay the deposit on booking, and then the balance in delivery, great. The movers that came to pick up my items were great, they were friendly, respectful, they handled my items with care, they labelled everything and packed everything neatly in their truck, that was the end of the great service. The very next morning I received an email with their invoice attached, I thought that they were just letting me know how much my move was going to cost now that they had weighed my items, mind you the invoice was for $970 more than my original quote, I didn't have the means to weigh my items myself, so I had to go off of what they said, no problem. About 20 minutes after I received the invoice, someone from "accounting" called to find out how I would like to pay my invoice since I needed to pay before they shipped my items, I told them that is not what I was told when I booked the service, they told me that the contract that I signed when they picked up my items says that payment is due on receipt of their invoice and they are not going to ship my items until I paid, I explained to them that I wouldn't be getting payment for the move until I reached the destination as my company was paying for the move, they reiterated that they would not ship my items until they received payment in full.

I called them back a couple of days later to provide them with a credit card for payment, they told me that they do not accept credit cards for the cost of the move, only for the deposit. She then informed me that my items have already been shipped, so I couldn't even go and retrieve my things and figure out another solution. They called three more times looking for payment even though I explained to them that since they do not take credit card, I would have to wait until I arrived in BC to pay them the way they want because as stated before, my employer was paying for my move, she said okay. When I made it to BC, I paid the invoice and was told my items would be delivered the day after I paid the invoice. It has been more than two weeks and I am still waiting for my items to be delivered, when I called their dispatch, they told me that my destination was too far and they didn't have any trucks coming my way and they do not know when I will be able to get my items delivered even though they had the delivery address from day one. So they have now had my items for a month and I have no idea when I will actually see my things again.

Save yourself the headache and stress, DO NOT USE THEM!!

Move size: Studio Service cost: $2900

Never use this company. It started out great. Great customer service, support. Then moving day came and I got 5 calls. I let it slip when I shouldn’t have. My stuff was 13 days late, they took the cheque from my wife and dumped everything outside our residence. They over charged weighed me at 3700lbs but my stuff only weighed 1600lbs. They said they do a pro rate after 2000lbs but charged full price.

Friendly front office staff and the estimator that came out was very professional. Our house move was going to be long and complicated but he put my mind at ease. The real stars here are the movers though. Some of the most careful, efficient and friendly people I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. They came a few minutes early than scheduled to do a walk around to make a plan of action. Everything was wrapped and packaged very carefully. When moving you expect some small issues here and there, but there actually were no problems at all, everything went smoothly. We couldn't be happier with our move and have been recommending these guys to friends and family ever since.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4000

Guys, honestly, stay away from Pegasus at any cost, they are bad as they get, they really are crooks. Even if they were the last moving company on the planet you would be better off moving your stuff yourself.

- They didn't deliver on time:we had to call them 4 different times just to make sure they were doing their job, which they were not. They told us that somebody had to take an appointment with the border patrol before delivering to the States.. but that's on them to do this.

- They were holding hostage all our stuff, and use this to have us pay more money.

- They lost our Queen size mattress, and according to their calculation the credit was.. -242$!

- They left 3/4 of all our stuff in the lobby... in New York City! Didn't finish the job, the driver and his helper just left without telling us, and when tried to call them they block our #. And once I contacted the sales rep he told me "what do you want me to do it's past 9".

I really wonder how they can get any 5 stars reviews, this company is just all bad from top to bottom.

Moving can be difficult, but the folks at Pegasus made it a lot less stressful! Nick was wonderful to work with from the initial walk-through for the estimate to answering all my questions leading up to the big day! The moving team, both loading and unloading, were great.. on-time, courteous and respectful of our home and our belongings. They worked quickly but carefully and the whole move went smoothly thanks to the professionalism and kindness of everyone involved!
