I received a quote from Nick on March 21 2024 for my belongings to be picked up in Calgary Alberta on April 17 2024 and was promised that they would be delivered in Souris Manitoba on April 19. On April 19 I only received an invoice and then a phonecall for payment. I advised the lady on the phone that I would pay the minute my belongings were at my doorstep.

I also asked her when the delivery would be and was told that it would be the beginning of the next week. This was the start of a 6 week ordeal where I lived like a squatter in my new apartment because I had nothing but some clothes, 1 fork, 1 spoon and a knife and an airbed. I had to purchase items that I needed just to be able to live somewhat normal.

Then I was promised that the delivery would be May 17. The morning of May 16 I called Pegasus and was told that yes absolutely the delivery would be the next day. When I called them back later that day because I had not yet heard from the driver I was told that there was no more room on the truck when it came time to load my belongings.

I then asked them if I could pick it up myself. This would mean a flight to Edmonton where my stuff was being stored (I never agreed to have my belongings stored at any time) then renting a uhaul and inconveniencing friends to help me. Pegasus told me that I could definitely do that but would still have to pay them as well (seriously) So that was not an option.

They told me my belongings would be delivered May 30 or 31. I demanded to have that in writing with a signed name. All I received was an email with the delivery date and no names.

I opened a complaint with the BBB because I felt I had to do something. I received a standard apology with “unforeseen circumstances” and a lot of other standard comments. But once again they stated the end of May. (I rejected that and asked for compensation)

On May 30 I called and asked them what time on May 31 the delivery would be. They said that my belongings were in Regina SK (3 hours away) but that delivery wouldn’t be until Saturday. I asked the lady if she was aware of the days in the month and that Saturday was June 1. Once again they lied.

When the moving truck finally showed up at my home the driver and his partner were wonderful. But they did tell me how this happens all the time. This company books and books and books but doesn’t have the resources to fulfill their orders.

Do not use this company. They are not to be trusted. Make sure you have a fully written contract with dates and signatures.

This is my second time using Pegasus Van Lines for moving. They have exceeded my expectations for both moves. One was local and the other was a three hour away move. The movers were courteous, knowledgeable, and extremely careful with my furniture and boxes. Everything was moved quickly and exactly as asked. Both teams we had worked well together and did a great job with communication. Quotes were very close to actual cost on both moves and both came in slightly under at the end of the move. I highly recommend them for your next move.

I recently hired Pegasus vanLines for an out-of- Province move, and I regret my decision. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory due to several issues.

1. Damaged Furniture: upon arrival I discovered that several pieces of my furniture were broken , chipped., totally wreak

2. Lost Items: In addition to the damage, also noticed that some of my belongings were missing.

3. Lack of Accountability: I attempted to resolve these issues and i filed claims with the company but i received no satisfactory.

Overall, my experience with Pegasus Van Lines was Frustrating and disappointing. I would advise others to consider alternative moving companies to avoid similar issues.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $5400

Honestly im very disappointed, i was told to pay a deposit of 200$ and then the rest of the payment to be made once i receive my items, then 2 days after pickup, they told me i need to pay the balance in full before the truck lifts off from their warehouse… i had no choice but to pay the full balance without confirming if my items are stolen, lost or damaged. Another thing i am very disappointed about is, i was told it would take minimum 5 days to maximum 7 days, but it took 10 days for me to receive my items!!! And then on the day of delivery they called to tell me that they would arrive between 8-10 am and they came at 11:30 am … its just sad and a shame with years of doing this job u would expect people to know more accurately about dating and timing and still this company is unprofessional and not accurate at all. They also told me from the start before i hired them and signed the contract that the truck would be a 26ft truck but when they arrived it was a 20ft truck and my furnitures hardly fit. The driver on the day of the delivery told me they had to unload and load my stuff 3 times to 3 different trucks, no wonder my items are damaged and lost.

This company is a complete joke! I have never in my life experienced a total disregard for my time, or my belongings! They were continually late, showed up with half a truck full when I said I needed an empty 5 ton truck and they had to come back almost a week later. I incurred more costs due to missed work and additional RV park charges. Our belongings did not arrive until almost two months later. Nick was extremely rude and threatened to discard our belongings if we did not pay 100%, even though the text sent prior to loading says upon delivery. He not only threatened to throw out our belongings, but told me I was in no position to argue. Our stuff finally arrived and it looked like someone had rolled the truck. Boxes and Rubbermaid containers were completely damaged. There was considerable damage to our furniture and a box with some expensive tool chargers did not arrive, nor did a few mechanic benches. They also changed the contract after they had all of our possessions loaded and kept it hostage! When we put in the claim they said that their insurance is only for 60 cents per pound! If you want to see your items damaged, lost, time wasted, inflated costs than originally quoted, or threatening behaviour than by all means hire this company. If not, stay completely far away! This is what 15,000 gets you!

This company is an absolute joke!. Beware.

My friend received her shipment approximately three months after being promised it would arrive within seven days. The majority of her belongings are irreparably damaged.

Awful customer support. When she called, they either didn't answer the phone or didn't provide her a clear explanation about when her items would be delivered. Extremely impolite people with no professionalism.

The whole story has been documented. I am only supplying the short version. You would not believe the run around she got.

I've advised her to make a call to every news station in Ontario to firmly dissuade any individual that is considering hiring Pegagsus Van Lines.  

From start to finish, the worst nightmare!!!

Don’t recommend. Mike Galanis gave me a quote and accepted my deposit of 200$ and told me delivery is 5-7 days after pick up. They used secondary company in Calgary AB to pick up my 2 bedroom apartment on Sept 22 2024. I have no complaints about that company. They were professional and took care packing. Pegasus Van Lines took 2.5months to deliver my stuff. It was excise after excuse and I got the run around. Not professional. No employee had the same answer and they even showed up at my house with someone else’s belongings. The company finally delivered my stuff on Dec 9th 2024 damaged and broken. Most of my stuff was purchased 5months before ny move to Ontario. Chairs had solid wood legs busted off and dirty chair backs. My entertainment unit was scratched beyond repair. Wine glasses and planters were broken. My brand new bedframe was damaged and dirty even though it was wrapped in plastic. The company isn’t willing to cover any loss to these items or accept responsibility for taking a delivery to couldn’t fulfill in reasonable time. I highly recommend you stay away from this company. They shouldn’t even be in operation.

I move from Ottawa to Vancouver. After packing by myself. The courier delay the pickup day for 7 hours and I cannot contact the apartment manager as it is out of their business hour.

A guy named Nick told me that it will arrive on the beginning of the month and only take 1 week for the delivery. It keeps delaying and and reschedule three times. I wasted both elevator move-in cost since they both late in pickup and delivery. The customer service didn’t compensate for my loss.

After waited for month, the driver told me that they will arrive tomorrow morning which I didn’t expected and as the notification period is short, I cannot hold the elevator and I need to discuss with the concierge of the building for emergency.

After those items arrived, I lost around 20 boxes with large furniture like clothes organizer and those electronic products (electronic shaves and electronic brush) as well as my facial care products (L’reol, Olay etc.) I believed they unbox my stuff and stole my items.

I got all evidence and will submit it to the police as well as ask for legal advice. It is so exaggerated. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU PREPARED EXTRA MONEY SPEND ON THE UNPREDICTABLE SITUATION AND ITEM LOSS.

This company has ruined my entire moving experience. Nick, the owner, has an awful attitude and will belittle and scold you on the value of your belongings. He and his employees (“Brian”, who I believe is actually Nick) will curse aggressively, hang up the phone, and not return any phone calls. They will delay your pick up (initially scheduled to be picked up December 14th at 10am. They did not show up until December 14th at 4pm. They did not inform us of the delay.) They will delay your delivery (initially scheduled to be delivered January 2 at 12pm. They will not inform you that your shipment is being delayed (until January 6th) unless you call and inquire about where the shipment is.) They do not communicate with you, and because of this unknown delay in shipment I had to change my flight time, which cost me an additional $400 and stay in a hotel for an extended period of time, costing $500. When your belongings finally do arrive, the contracted movers will tell you it is “door to door” and attempt to leave the items on the main floor. The movers demanded an additional $300 to bring the belongings from the main floor to the apartment, which obviously I had no choice but to pay. We had made Nick aware that the apartment was on the third floor with no elevator available and he said “that’s fine,” several times. Most of my items arrived, with the exception of several boxes. The items that did arrive are chipped, dirty, and ripped. I would give this company 0 STARS if I could.

Also, this company is registered with the BBB and received an F rating for 31 complaints against the business, and 6 filed complaints that were not resolved.

Hiring this company was the biggest mistake I could have ever made, do NOT follow my footsteps. Avoid avoid avoid.

These company doesn't send you a contract to read until they deliver your stuff, they promised max 2-3 weeks delivery time, they can take more than a month, if something is broken during the move they'll come saying everything is at owner risk. Stay away from this company.

While they are loading your stuff make sure to check if they are being honest with the item condition, they like to put is broken or damage so they cover their backs in case something breaks

Poor contact. From the very beginning been late for 14 hours for pickup without any notice.

Later been late for drop off for 3 days without notice. I've been forced to ask every time about arriving.

But the worse happen when we receive our stuff. It was all in black oily dust very very hard to clean from. All staff even inside of drawers. A lot of stuff damaged. Dresser, tv, boxes barely survived it all. Horrible. Just horrible. Hidden fees. The invoice appeard to be twice more than estimetade but of course no evidence of weight.

Claims about damages have been denied of course.

Nick is a liar, all the Customers service are very rude and are al lairs. It’s been almost a month any things has not been received yet, they will insult you when you complain.

I don’t know how they still exist. I have been without bed and cloths for a month.

I planned to go to their work place so show them how angry I am. After a second thought I have spoken to my lawyer and also reported to the police that my goods have been stolen by Pegasus.

They don’t have a single sensible person in the company.

From Nick to all the Customers service personnels are all stupid and fools.

Don’t use them. They are fraudsters.

The booking service was easy and efficient. Once you booked it and you are waiting for you delivery they stop offering efficient customer service. They were not replying to my phone number, so I had to borrow other people phone to get an answer.The staff becomes suddenly rude and inefficient...I thought it was okay since they were cheaper, as long as I got my stuff on time...

Then, we weighted everything before we sent it on the truck, they didnt provide a proof for the empty truck weight (like it was discussed on the phone) prior. I had estimated and weight my boxes foratota around 1300Pounds and they added another 580pounds - They said if I wanted to reweight it was 300$ and if the difference was less than 300 if was non-refundable. It is a little clause on the paper theywill give you only once they packed everything. They then delayed my delivery 2 weeks later just because I ask for the empty truck proof - without telling me they will hold on to my boxes.

The packing and unpacking service was good tho, and nothing was missing. If youre not in a hurry, and youre willing to pay about 30%of the weight you really have. Youll get your stuff.

We had our belongings picked up May 23rd, 2024 in Edmonton AB. We were told they would arrive 10-14 days to Saint john NB and quoted around 4000$. The team showed up an hour late to start, appeared to pack everything well such as dressers, chairs, table with blankets. After they left I had to sign the forms confirming the 200 various items we had. It wasn't later that I realized they marked on the initial pick up that 99% of our stuff was already "scratched, broken or chipped" - including pillows? Clearly a scam to start if off stating there is damage that was never there. We put an airtag in the shipment and watched it sit week after week in edmonton. 3 weeks It did not move from there, and then sat in Toronto for another 4 weeks. Week after week we called and were given attitude by the staff, never apologized to once. We had to have things put into storage as we don't have a home yet but countless items we needed immediately and would put in our rental. The excuse was constantly "they missed the truck, we have more shipments then usual and then that "we're only sending it to a storage unit so it shouldn't matter". Then we get the bill .. 8600$. Reporting we had over 8000lbs of things for a 2 bedroom home. We sold couches, and most heavy things to help bring costs down and there's no way to argue the weight. They THEN tell me they only take cash or e transfer… Nowhere does it ever say we can't pay with credit cards. My deposit was paid with credit card, but they clearly know that if you pay with credit card we could get money back. I paid the money and still our things sat in toronto for another 3 weeks. We have a young baby who was missing her clothes, crib, high chair etc requiring us to buy all new things at the new location as we only had what we could fit on the plane for 7 weeks. The shipment arrives … our furniture completely destroyed. Missing brand new sneakers clearly ripped out of a shoe rack, boxes saturated in water and shredded, mattress topper ripped and black in color, pictures destroyed. The movers continuously asked us "is this all your stuff" as they had mixed shipments in the truck, they had no idea who's things were who's. I still have half the storage unit to go through and I've found 3000$ worth of damage. Dressers scratched and broken, falling apart. I submit my claim as I only had 10 days and was told based off weight of 0.60 cents per lb in damage that we are actually in the negative and would only qualify for 70$ - but we will not even see that as it must be over 350$ to get reimbursement. I am beyond outraged, they continue not to apologize or show any remorse or care for anyone's belongings. This company is beyond disgusting and I will be reporting them to every avenue possible and have my insurance company now involved to get the money back. They are thieves, scammers and this should be completely illegal. We were never offered additional insurance and have pictures of everything. Our belongings absolutely wreak of body odor and mold. Our insurance company has reached out to them and they were beyond rude to them. I am absolutely sick to my stomach they got almost 10,000$ from us and absolutely destroyed all of our belongings that we will have to front the cost to replace. I'm sick to my stomach to think they went through our belongings and picked out things they wanted and walked away with them. I'm going through the rest of the storage unit this week and I'm sure I'll find way more than 3000$ of damage. I AM SICK!!!!!!

They are the most useless and fraudulent I have ever worked with in my entire life. My stuffs was picked on 23 July 2024 and I was promised that it will get to my destination on the 1st August.I arrived at my destination on the first of August and these guys told me that my stuffs are still in their custody and has not been shipped yet, and it will be shipped the following week. So now I am stranded in a different province for 2 weeks.

Customer service is also very rude.

We had a somewhat complicated move where we combined two households. The office staff was consistently polite and helpful when I talked with them. I was blown away by the quick, careful, professional manner in which our belongings were loaded and unloaded. The movers displayed good humor and were quite patient with me when I asked them to move my bed three times. I have moved more than 10 times, and this was the smoothest move I have ever done. I can't recommend them highly enough.

I wish there were an option to give 0 stars because this has been the absolute worst experience I have ever had in my lifetime. We booked a move for November 30th at 1 PM, and two days before (November 28th), we called to confirm. We were assured that the movers would arrive as scheduled, but no details were provided.

On November 30th, with no one showing up by 1:30 PM, we tried to call but received no response. We then sent an enquiry through email we received a reply in a one-line message informing us that the move had been postponed to December 3rd, with no explanation or apology.

On December 3rd, after sending an email to cancel the service, we received a response on December 4th stating that someone would come either Saturday or Sunday. Once again, there was no explanation, contact information, or apology for the ongoing lack of communication and respect for our time.

This level of unprofessionalism is completely unacceptable, and I would strongly advise anyone considering this company to think twice. No one should have to deal with this kind of treatment during such an important event. I will never trust this company again.
